OLD DOLL (COUGARS) POETRY OF HOPE….

Sharing a secret from one old doll to another....

I felt inspired by the Holy spirit to write this…I suppose, because I know I am no longer a young girl but an older woman.  And married.  But this could have been me….If I had not found Jesus.

Society calls those older single ladies, “cougars.”  This is what the urban dictionarys definition of a cougar.  see also hunt, prowl, corner, pounce). Noun. A 35+ year old female who is on the “hunt” for a much younger, energetic, willing-to-do-anything male. The cougar can frequently be seen in a padded bra, cleavage exposed, propped up against a swanky bar in San Francisco (or other cities)waiting, watching, calculating; gearing up to sink her claws into an innocent young and strapping buck who happens to cross her path. “Man is cougar’s number one prey”

But as I see it, I see her, selling herself short.  I felt like the Lord, wanted me to call them ”Old Dolls”  And I see her, sitting, in a bar.  Lonely, and wanting love, looking for it in all the wrong places.  Not knowing, that in Christ, and his love, that she would be one, that he sets free.  She feels like life has passed her by.  That she missed the boat, the plane, or the train….And she is stuck.

I suppose, I could have been a cougar.  I thank him, for delivering me from that life.  For I did start out that way.  Looking for love, in the wrong places.  Making many mistakes in my youth.  But he did change me first and then he brought me my husband, and since the beginning, we have built our marriage, and relationship on Gods ways…And it has never failed….

Old doll

The gentlemen do not call

Just snakes in the grass

And you see that through a dimly lit glass

Sitting, waiting for the loneliness to pass

Constant in your yearning

Too old you think to begin learning

In a place of no pity

In small town, or large  city

Yet you long for change

For something to begin to rearrange

Before it would be too late

Discovering your fate

If you stay where you are

For True love seems so far

You missed Prnce charming

Disarmming yourself

By giving yourself away

Wanting now to pray…

Not knowing where to begin

There is all this sin

This sadness, darkness within….

Once hearing of Jesus…

And how he took the curse for all of us

Not wanting to be tossed to and fro…

If only, you could find the door

To so much more….

You could have been me

If I did not see….

With new eyes to see

God could forgive me

I share with you a secret

For I know and have met

My savior

One who did care….

Who did not leave me alone

And not by phone…Did he make his presence known

It happened, by looking within….

Asking Jesus to cleanse me of my sin

On my knees I went to him and did repent

And with that a blessing he has sent

Old doll

Jesus is calling you one more time

The crime will be,

If you do not answer

With your heart….

And let this moment part

Without giving him your pain

So you can gain

Your dignity, once and for all

Free

And for eternity…

Come what may

You do pray….

And your life changes

This very day….

Father, in the name of Jesus.  I pray for the old doll…I pray, for her life to be renewed, even now, restored.  Cancelling the plan of the enemy in this.  That she would find true love.  A second, or third chance….just as you gave me.  For you truly changed my life.  And I pray it for this lady as well. Things can change.  Give her hope, and give her a renewed sense, that you love her.  Take her out of that environment.  Of darkness, into your light.  In Jesus name.  Amen

DO NOT BE AFRAID, YOU WILL NOT SUFFER SHAME.  DO NOT FEAR DISGRACE, YOU WILL NOT BE HUMILIATED.  YOU WILL FORGET THE SHAME OF YOUR YOUTH AND REMEMBER NO MORE THE REPREACH OF YOUR WIDOWHOOD.  FOR YOUR MAKER IS YOUR HUSBAND THE LORD ALMIGHTY IS HIS NAME.  THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL IS YOUR REDEEMER.  HE IS CALLED THE GOD OF ALL THE EARTH.  THE LORD WILL CALL YOU BACK AS IF YOU WERE A WIFE DESERTED AND DISTRESSED IN SPIRIT.  A WIFE WHO MARRIED YOUNG.  ONLY TO BE REJECTED SAYS YOUR GOD.  FOR A BRIEF MOMENT I ABANDONED YOU.  BUT WITH DEEP COMPASSION I WILL BRING YOU BACK.  IN A SURGE OF ANGER I HID MY FACE FROM YOU FOR A MOMENT,  BUT WITH EVERLASTING KINDNESS, I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON YOU…SAYS THE LORD YOUR REDEEMER.  ISAIAH 54:4-8

COLD AND WINDY DAY ~ POETRY OF HOPE

Today is a cold and windy day.  A little unsettling, especially since we had such warm weather.  And as I look out my window, I see things tossed about, and I see how unsettled the weather is.  Symbolically, that could be you and me, if we let the winds move us about.  If we do not know who we are in Christ.  The Bible tells us, if we do not know God and his ways, we will be tossed around, by not knowing true doctrine.  I thank God, for his truth….I felt inspired to write this.  No matter where one may be, we can trust him to calm our storms.

COLD AND WINDY DAY….

Cold and windy day….

Feelings tossed about today

A thought here and there….

Where Oh Lord, Oh where

Is your sweet spirit of Ease

So I will not be tossed about?

So I can hold on

And see the battle is won

Wanting to be strong…

As I prolong the enevitable

Only with you I am able…

Seeking a way

As I pray….

Come what may

On this cold and windy day

My heart is seeking thy peace

Thy joy, released

For in the midst of any storm

As I seek thee, my heart is transformed…..

Comforted with new hope

I am able to cope

From Glory to Glory

This my testimony

Of how you work wonders for me…..

And only with your love I can see

Father, I seek you.  Calm my heart.  No matter what may occur

in the day, that just seems unsettling, or tries to steal my peace.

I will ponder on you your power, and I will be comforted.

KNEEL AT THE CROSS ~ CHRIST WILL MEET YOU ~ POETRY OF HOPE

Today a Day after Good Friday, 2010 and as I sit here in my office, and I look out the window, the day is windy, unsettled.  And if I did not know Christ, my heart, my life would also be unsettled.  But all I have to do is go to the cross, and he gives me hope, peace, and forgiveness.  I am not perfect.  I am a Christian, but I am still a work in progress.  The wonderful thing though, I know with God all things are possible.  I have peace, knowing Christ is my savior.  But it did not happen, until I went to the cross. And knelt.  Even here after I write this, and post this, I will take a moment again and kneel at the cross.  Grateful for the sacrifice of Christ at the cross.  To set me free.  I pray God bless you.  Elena Ramirez

KNEEL AT THE CROSS

Kneel at the cross

And let Christ take the loss

For your sins

A new way to begin

As he did for mine

For I did find

Something beautiful, divine

Has become intertwined

With Christs sacrifice

For it gives life

Life abundantly

For all to See

You see

I was lost

I could not find my way

Then one day

A day like today

I began to pray

Crying to God

Why Lord has all this sorrow been allowed?

I did repent

And a blessing sent

For me, for eternity

You see, I knelt at the cross

I realized all the sin

I had within

I wanted to be free

But it did not begin

Until I truly did see

What Christ did for me…

Kneel at the cross

He will do it for you too

All you have to do

Is believe…

And sin will leave

And cleave to Christ

He will turn your darkness

Of night

Into Light….

Turning that which was wrong

To be right

Giving you new sight

As you kneel at the cross

Christ will give life abundantly

If you only see, his truth

To make you free

A Prayer of Hope

Father, My Holy, Lord, and savior.  How merciful you are.  Thank you for my Salvation.  Today, a day after Good Friday, I so seek you.  If I did not have you to go to

something would be absent in my life.  Life itself.  For you are life abundantly.  Lord, sometimes, I struggle, sometimes I fall down.  But I am always able to get up again, as I go to the cross.  And I kneel before you.  And I see something so powerful, and wonderful, I cannot put it into words.  But there I see love.  That you have given.  Thank you for my Salvation.  Thank you for the sacrifice you made for me, and for all who believe.  I love you for the mercy you extend to this sinner, who has received sight, in the darkest of nights. A new light, to see more clearly, the love you have extended to me.  In Jesus name,  Amen

I am posting a lot of my older writings here on WordPress.  And this Prayer of Hope, “The Prayer of Jesus” was heart moving, and brought me to a place, to understand, again, and again, how precious, the gift of Salvation is.  I truly believe this is anointed from God, for, when I wrote this,  I so wanted to understand, how Christ felt, as he prayed in the garden.  Right before he was arrested, and right before he went to the cross, for each one of us.  Yes, he was the son of God, but he was also a man, a person, who felt as we do.  He experienced, the fear, the trepidation, knowing he was to become the sacrifice, to spare us from all of our sins.  Dear friends, may this Prayer of Jesus, bless you, and especially now, as Easter approaches, let us be mindful of what Christ did and does for us.   All we have to do is believe….In Christ, and his love, I pray you are blessed.

The Prayer of Jesus

Lord, as I come to thee

To seek You, please see me

I come alone, seeking

You my God, on your throne

The hour is here

But I have no fear

I trust in You

The time is due…

Holy Spirit

Help me bear it

Be with me

Help me to see thee

I do pray…

Help me through this day…

Make a way…

Talk to me, Walk with me

and tell me

I am, Your own

For you see, in my own ability

I am all alone

So I long for you

To come through

For me to do, what I must do

With strength

Renewed

In obedience,

I go to the cross

To find those that are lost

my salvation through your prayer, and the

supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Father, most gracious

And eternal God, in humbleness,

before you my heart aches, to

know, what Christ your son

did for me, and for each one of us.

Words cannot express, my gratitude,

and yes, the understanding,

of what he went through

for us. It pierces my heart,

with truth, and understanding.

By your holy spirit, I sense

and know a love so great,

that again, words, cannot explain….

For your love was and is so great,

that you sent your only begotten son.

That whosoever would

Believe in him, would, have life,

and life abundantly. I do

Repent, and pray, my life,

would be a blessing to you,

for all that you have done.

We all have sinned, we all

do come short of your glory….

If we come to you,

Of his sacrifice, his love, and

That he is the way,

The truth, and the life…

A life abundant, because

He lives, moves and has his being in me

….because I now believe…

In what he did, on the cross.

I am humbled, as I claim

In Jesus name, I am set free….

LOVE ONE ANOTHER

I wrote this, sometime ago.  Where it seemed I was in an environment, where love was supposed to be evident, but it was not.  I had worked at a Christian organization, and through a church, that will remain nameless, because of love, I do not mention it, because Love covers a multitude of sins. Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all sins.  Proverbs 10:12. But I will remember this experience, because I was judged, and misunderstood, and in fact, I lost a job there.  It hurt deeply because the love was not evident.  Now of course, I have learned to walk in forgiveness, and forgiving is a part of love.  It is a process.  But I share this Prayer of Hope, again, because Love should always be in the forefront, of our communication, our personalities, and who we are in Christ.  I always look for the love, in Christians, and Christian leaders.  And I know, sometimes, we all make mistakes, as I do myself.

But through it all I look for the love.  I look for the tenderness, and the kindness, the compassion of Christ.  I look for the mercy, that Christ extended.  I look for the love….To see, if I do see that reflection of Christ.  I test the spirits, for that very reason, and I get some strange reactions.  But if they are true, the love comes out.

It saddens me, when I go to a new church, or even one, that I have been at for many times, and I am invisible to the people there.

And I am not saying all churches are like that, for I have been to many where the love was there, and those are the places I miss the most.  But when love is not extended from the pulpit, it will not flow to the congregation, and through the congregation.  When one is giving a sermon, or a message, to teach, or to edify, to correct, if love is not there, one will not receive it.

Love, is a universal communication, that can come through, even without words.  By the tone, one uses, by the gestures of kindness, by the smile, you can give.  All done without words.  But if we are to use words let us find words, that express love, forgiveness, understanding.  So we can reach the lost, so we can reach each other.  Let us love one another……I pray, my Prayer of Hope, will inspire you to love one another, and reminded, of the love that we have through Jesus Christ, our Lord, and savior.

LOVE ONE ANOTHER

Love is how they will know us…

This is what Jesus taught us

But does this go in one ear

and do we really hear?

Do we murmur and complain?

Putting blame…In one breath the same,

As a smile, but really all the while,

We hold a grudge, as if it was a nudge

to remind us of something

unforgiven we hold within

Or do we let love

cover a multitude of sin?

Do we greet one another

Like a sister or a brother?

And love one another?

Or do we hold up our head up so high

Not even offering hello or goodbye

We need to get rid of this stinking thinking

That steals the grace

God gives to you and me

That gives place to the enemy

Is this what we want to be seen?

Not even an offering

or a gesture of kindness

Do we not know this binds us?

Yet we want the blessing

Of God to come through

But do we realize we put a lock

on Love as if it was something

to be blocked?

Or in truth, are we a part of the treachery

and the mockery of the enemy

When we do not offer love freely?

Love…Something so beautiful

That causes our spirits to be full

to overflow with the glow of our

Lord, To be in one accord…

This is what God intended

Not for us to be offended…

For his love was so great he has

by example sent his son,

to be the greatest sacrifice of offering

and yes for us to be loving

For in a moment you can do

What God has called you to…

If you let the love of God come through

Forgive, and give of love

This will bear fruit, evidence there is root

That we were founded and grounded

By God….

We have purposely allowed

Him to work in us

Through Jesus

That faith works by love

And you will see the evidence of Christ

The glory, as you extend yourself as HE

Did for you and me

By being the gift of love

Then showers of blessings

will come from above….

For this is the message of good tidings

by accepting the fact, loving is

truly a good thing

But a commandment for sure

For the Love of God is pure …..

For this is the message that

ye heard from the beginning,

that we should love one another.

Father, Glory to you my dear Lord…

As we come here in prayer….

We are in your sight,

and you love us….Love the greatest thing,

we can receive and know….but only your

love saves.  Only your love forgives…

Just like the woman, who was presented

as a sinner, to Jesus,

the people scorned her,

and they wanted to stone her….

But you, in your love, extended mercy,

love and forgiveness…

Why do we judge one another?,

or why do we let these offenses

come in, and yes they do block the blessings….

They steal the very essence of you from us…

when we cannot even humble ourselves,

with kindness….with Love….

Oh Lord, are we so religous,

like the Pharisees,

when we cannot let go of things,

and unforgiveness reigns in our hearts, instead

of love?  Help us Father, so we

can be as Christ….for that is a sign

you have given….people will know we

Are Christians, if the Love we have

is evident for one another!  Is the

Love there Lord?  We must examine

ourselves individually…Do we love

one another?  I ask this,

and for myself, I ask that

you give me, that agape Love to give to

be the person you have called me to be

and to do….as you have commanded

To Love….

In Jesus name,
